Over 600 patients have now been recruited in to the Yorkshire Cancer Research Bowel Cancer Improvement Programme (YCR BCIP) consented aspects of the study. We now have 12 sites open and recruiting patients to the study and the return rate for the patients questionnaires is 86%.

At the successful surgical meeting in November 2017 the clinical teams identified the need of a workstream involving anaesthetists. The Yorkshire Cancer Research Bowel Cancer Improvement Programme has agreed to a Anaesthetic and Perioperative Medicine Workstream to commence in Year Three of the Programme. The launch event will be held on 18th October 2018.
