At the successful surgical meeting in November 2017 the clinical teams identified the need of a workstream involving anaesthetists. The Yorkshire Cancer Research Bowel Cancer Improvement Programme has agreed to a Anaesthetic and Perioperative Medicine Workstream to commence in Year Three of the Programme. The launch event will be held on 18th October 2018.

The Yorkshire Cancer Research Bowel Cancer Improvement Programme has been granted ethical approval to conduct the study and has also received approval from the Health Research Authority (HRA). The Programme Management Team will be contacted prospective sites to begin opening the study.
