  20th November 2019 – Major Surgical Procedures for Low Rectal Cancer - APERs, TaTME etc.

The next educational event for the surgical workstream will be held on 20th November 2019.  The focus of the event will be APERs and other major surgical procedures for low rectal cancer.

Professor Wedel a Clinical Anatomist from Kiel University in Germany will be presenting at this event and will give several presentations on the relevant anatomical principles for optimal planes of dissection.  As well as a focus on safe dissection in the perineal phase of an APER he will talk on TaTME and, time allowing, total mesocolic excision. It will be a full day event (including lunch) starting at 9:30am with no fee for delegates to attend. The venue for this event is Weetwood Hall Estate, Leeds https://www.weetwood.co.uk/hotel-contact.html . We will be applying for CPD accreditation.
